Overcoming these treats is a challenge to online surfers without following any type of safety measures.

1.Address bar with Secure Lock.

         The safety of your site depends upon URL of the site you are visiting. Always check at the address bar. If the address bar starts with URL: https:// instead of http:// that’s a good sign of security.

2.   Be safe against Hackers and Viruses.

          Hacker is someone who, outside of his own profit, enjoyment, challenge, protest, seeks and exploits weaknesses in a computer system. So you have to protect against the direct attack on the network system by the hacker.

It is desirable to ensure that your Firewall is installed and switched on. Always ensure that only the people you want to access the PC are getting in.

          Viruses is a malware that, when executed, replicates by reproducing itself or infecting other programs by modifying them. Some viruses will even delete your data and some even watch what you’re doing and send all the personal details to theirs creators.

         It is always good to remove the computer viruses at first attempt and make our system safe by installing a good anti-virus software on your computer and ensure to keep it up to date. 3.   Ensure your Password is strong and change it regularly.

         Password is like key to your account. Without it is not possible to open the account. It is always desirable to develop a strong password that uses letters, numbers, uppercase letters, lower case letters and characters.
The password must be unique and not guessed by strangers or others close to you.
        It is always advisable to make a habit of changing our password regularly. Even experts also recommend changing your password every three months.To ensure maximum security, you should use a different password for each account.

4.   Two-factor authentication

     Two factor authentications is nothing but use of two pieces of information for logging into your account. One is your usual password and the other is a code that is sent to mobile devices or generated by a code generator. This type of authentication increases the security of your accounts.
      But this two-factor authentication is not available in all the sites, but instead asks a security question every time you login. In this case make a question that is something very difficult for the hackers to guess.

5.   Be careful with Emails

      Never open any E- mails unless your know the sender. Because some junk E-mails may contain viruses or spyware which can harm your computer.
Avoid Emails with file attachments ending in ‘.exe’ extensions.
