How To Split A Screen In Windows 8 For Multitasking?

Windows 8.1 differs both in user interface and functionality. Split a screen for multitasking isn’t complicated on Windows 8. Step1. Open Start screen in Windows 8.1 by clicking on the Start button.

Step2. Open any Application from the displayed app on the start screen.        For example Open Video app.

Step3. After opening the app, to split screen, place your mouse on the topmost left corner and right-click on the mouse. It displays options like Close, Replace video, Insert left, and Insert Right. I Clicked on Insert right option.

Step4. A new window on the right side, of the already opened window, is opened. By this, you have two Windows, one on the left side of the screen and other on the right side of the screen.

Step5. In the newly opened window go to start and select any application you need to work on. For example, I opened an excel sheet to work on.

Step6. Open any video on the left side screen to watch.

In this tutorial on how to split a Windows screen into two parts for multitasking, we have excel app on one side and video app on another side. By this I can do multitasks by doing excel work besides watching a movie.
