1. Make sure password is unique:

2. Use of correct combination of letters, numbers, symbols in your password:

A strong password should contain:

Minimum of 8 characters: 

       Your password should contain a minimum of 8 to 12 characters in length. This is no restriction on the length of the characters.



Correct combination of characters:

       Use numbers, symbols, and the mix of both upper and lower case letters in your passwords. This can frustrate others in guessing your password and even a computer cannot crack.

      It is said that an eight-character password with numbers, Symbols, and the mixed case letters is harder to guess because it has 30,000 times as many possible combinations than an eight-character password with only lower case letters.  

3. Never use names, common words, dictionary word:

           It is not advisable to use personal information like your names, date of birth, city names or others related to the names. Also, avoid using dictionary names etc.

       Don’t always use simple words or phrases like “mypassword”, 1244abcd etc. and make the passwords easily guessable by strangers.

       Always select a random word or phrase and insert the letter, numbers into the beginning, middle and end to make it extra difficult to guess.

           Always frame a sentence of your own and select all the first letters or last letters and use as passwords.

Now it’s easy to remember. These types of passwords are very strong to crack.

4. Make sure that password options are up-to-date:

   Always update your recovery email address.

   Add phone numbers to receive password reset code through text messages.

   Add security questions? And make sure the answer is strong enough to not guess.


5. Keep your passwords secure:

      Never disclose your passwords to anyone by chance. Don’t ever write your passwords on notes or save computers folders in the form notes. Because 
anyone who visits may have a chance of stealing them and access your account.  If you want to store your passwords in the file folders create a unique name and lock the folder with strong folder locks.
