3. Under Windows Firewall click Allow an app through Windows Firewall.

4. Click change settings.

5. Scroll down allowed app and features and check the box next to Remote Desktop.

6. Click OK to save the changes.

Before you start a connection, it is a good idea to look up the name of the computer you’re connecting to and to make sure Remote Desktop connections are allowed through its firewall.
