Windows 10 countdown Timer has been added by Microsoft: Friday is the end to Free upgrade

                   Microsoft has started forbidding countdown timer on many windows 7 and windows 8 systems that July 29 is the last day to upgrade to windows 10 and after that it will not be available for free. 

The OS was launched on 29th july 2015 and as of June this year had gained a market share of 19% according to www.netmarketshare.com. After this July 29th windows will not be available for free and you have to buy. So it is desirable to update to windows 10 now and keep your free install for future updates and roll back to windows 7 after installing.


                    Microsoft has done a great job of offering windows 10 for free
For one year. It has been benefitted by many windows 7 and windows 8 users all these days. Now Microsoft had put a deadline and ending with the offer by a counter time to upgrade the free windows 10 for windows 7 and 8 users. We have to just keep the upgrade copy for later use. If you are not interested you can roll back to the original version and start using.

Procedure to Upgrade for windows 10 for Free.

1. Press Upgrade Now button


                        All the Windows 7 and windows 8 users can upgrade to windows 10 by clicking on the upgrade now button available on the bottom right corner of the countdown timer.


2. Check your PC


                        Windows update will check your PC for potential issues and also check your copy of windows is activated. If it is not you need to do it by online or buying a new key code.

 3. Click on Accept Button


                       Windows 10 download will be started a soon as the accept button is started. This download file is above 3GB so may take time depending on your speed of your internet connection.    Wait till you get start now or schedule it later. Now press start now button and the installation will start.                  
                        
 4. Click on Customize setting    
Wait till the installation complete and click next to select your options. Since these are related to your privacy click on the customize setting in the left corner.
                    Keeping in mind the privacy of windows 10, For the time being disable all the setting, for the setting like shared network and sending error information which can be enabled. Later you can enable these disabled settings also.
                   


 Some options like sending browsing data to Microsoft and other can involve you sharing your Internet connection like the BitTorrent client and sharing updated files with other user can be enabled even though they are safe to do, but it can effect on the internet connection speed, so it is advisable to disable them.


5. Check for Activation


                     Active installation is completed .Go to Start > Settings > Update and security and click on Activation button.  This gives the details of windows 10 activation.

That’s completes the Upgrade and Installation of windows 7 or 8 to Windows 10.
If you are not interested with this windows 10 you can restore to previous version
1. Start > Settings > Update and security > Recovery > Get started in Go back to windows option.
                      During the process of recovery to older version, system will reinstall some programs but no need to worry about these because you can use Microsoft’s
Media Creation Tool to reinstall windows 10.
                        Whether you reinstall or use windows 10 it is desirable to register for a free copy so that you can upgrade for free in future.


                         The countdown time has already started by Microsoft  to register for  Free copy of windows 10 and the last date for free registration of windows 10 is 29 July 2016 and after that it is no longer valid.
