Change Windows Password from Command Prompt:

Step1: Open the run command by pressing Windows + R. Type cmd in the empty field.

Step2: Press Ok or Press Enter. Command prompt window will open up.

Step3: Type net user and press enter. This list the available user accounts.

Step4: type net user space name of the account * and press enter. For example, type net user Gandhi * and press enter.

Step5: It will ask for type a password for the user. Type your new password and press enter. Be careful to type, because the characters will not display as you type.

Step6: The command completed successfully is the message that gets if password goes into effect immediately.
