A Wired Or Bluetooth Keyboard Is Safer Than Your Wireless Keyboard, Here Is The Reason

Are you using a cheap wireless keyboard, and then you are at risk. You are opening yourself to the remote attack capable of grabbing your most sensitive data like bank accounts; credits card numbers, etc.
According to the recent findings from a digital security company Bastille. The company uncovered the security flaw of the eight wireless manufacturers like Eagle Tec, Radio Shack, Toshiba, Insignia, Anker, Kensinton, General Electric, Hewlett-Packard.
The Bastille Research team which is specialized in detecting and addressing threats targeting the Internet of Things named the attack technique “ keySniffer” as it allows the hackers to “sniff” keystrokes from wireless keyboards at a distance of up to 250 feet. According to Bastille Team hackers can intrude and capture keystrokes victims type in clear text.

Out of the 12 manufacturers of wireless keyboards, bastille Team were disappointed to find that eight manufacturers were admitted to the KeySniffer hack. These eight devices are very easy for hackers to detect. And these 8 are most manufacturers of the inexpensive wireless keyboards. These inexpensive devices are vulnerable to hackers and it is easy for them scan a room, a building or any public place. Keysniffers allows hackers to get data easily a user types in the keyboards.
wireless keyboard is not much safer

It is advisable to avoid using these wireless keyboards.
They are some manufacturers that provide Bluetooth and high-end wireless keyboards like Logitech, Dell and Lenovo that are not Vulnerable to KeySniffer attack.
It is not only the BastilleTeam that first found this vulnerability apart from this KeyKeriti team in 2010 discovered weak XOR encryption in Microsoft’s wireless keyboard and in 2015 Key Sweeper technique was developed to exploit additional flaws in Microsoft’s encryption protocols. But Bastille keySniffer is different in that it reveals that manufacturers are producing wireless keyboards without encryption and selling them.
In this Internet Age, Everything is Possible. We cannot stop Hackers but we can stop their hacking by being safe. But when it comes to safety it lies everything in our hand. To be safe Bastille team advises using a wired or Bluetooth Keyboard.
