How To Block Spam Calls

Spam calls have become more these days.  These calls can be from fraudsters, spammers, and telemarketers. They irritate you asking you for credit cards, insurance policies, recharge plans, and some other offers. These calls are computer generated voice calls that disturb your work. To block these calls there are third party apps which does the job but not to the complete extension. But apart from third party apps, Google came with a new Phone app that detects the spam calls and send a report of the call to the user and block the calls.

Google revealed that a new update to its google phone app would help Nexus and Android one smart phone users can avoid spam calls.

But this feature is at present limited to Nexus and Android One users. To activate this feature the users have to activate Caller ID option from the phone settings. As soon as you activate Caller ID, it will have access to the new spam protection feature, after they update to the latest version of Google Phone app. This updating the Phone app will improve call experience and controls spam protection, caller ID and call blocking.

All the suspected phone calls will be showing “suspected spam caller” on their device screens. User can later on go to phone history to see the suspected spam calls and then choose to block calls coming from that particular phone numbers. With this all the future calls and Voice mails from that number will be blocked.

This Phone app give details (i.e., their business names with number) of who’s calling before picking the call.

It allows you to answer the call you need. It will not allow you to answer the calls that are not required. Unwanted calls can be blocked.

We expect that Google in future will make this feature to be available in android mobiles also.
