How To Create A Custom Run Command In Windows

                   Microsoft Windows Probably the most widely used Operating System for its simple GUI and attractive features in it. A new user chooses Microsoft Operating system to learn about computer, compared to other operating Systems for its cool features and attractive Graphics in easy navigating.

            It is very simple to use but quite sound in features. Run Command which is the most powerful feature used to call an application with a single command without navigating to those icons, searching for an application and saves a lot of time. Microsoft in-built introduces many commands such as cmd, notepad, regedit, msconfig,temp and many more. 

           As we installs many third-party applications which we can’t call from Run Command. But there is easy way of creating custom commands to run an application from Run Command.

Here is  the process how to create a custom command in windows.

Firstly select an application which you have to create a command

From Desktop, right click on mouse ,select an option new>>shortcut

So that a dialogue box will pop up asking  to “Type the location of the item

#Step 3



For Example I am going to create a command for SHAREit application

So that we have to search for path of our desired application in C:Folder program Files or Program Files (x86).

C:\Program Files (x86)\SHAREit\SHAREit\SHAREit.exe

Now copy that path in the dialogue box

#Step 4

Click Next

#Step 5

Now In the dialogue box you can choose your custom name to create a shortcut.
So I will try a name as share

#Step 6

Copy that shortcut in Windows root folder

C:\Windows

That’s it then goes ahead with the run command with the name of your shortcut.
