                  Erasing a device means factory resetting the mobile to the original when it was brought. This removes all the data from the device. So this can prevent the hacker from getting our personal data on the mobile.

Step2: Select the lost device from the list of devices by clicking on the arrow next to the device name.

Step3: If your lost device is active Android Device Manager will show the present location of the lost mobile, otherwise it will show location unavailable.

Step4. You can erase the data on the lost mobile by just clicking on the Erase option.

As soon as you click on the erase button a pop up appears asking to erase or cancel.

Once you click on the erase button the device manager performs the factory reset on your device.

All the files, apps, photos, music, and settings will be deleted. This erase is permanent. After you erase the device, Android Device Manager Will no longer work.



But files associated with the SD card cannot be erased.

If your device is offline, the factory reset will be performed as soon as the device comes online.

             Android Device Manger will not work for the mobile phones that are turned off or that don’t have the data connection with an active SIM card.
