Step3: If your lost device is active Android Device Manager will show the present location of the lost mobile, otherwise it will show location unavailable.

Step4: If you want to lock the phone click on the lock option. A pop up appears showing the new lock screen.

Type a strong password that is different from the Gmail password. This password will be replaced with the current password on the lost mobile screen.

Apart from typing the new password you can also set recovery message to show on the lock screen.
Otherwise, you can send a phone number that will be displayed on the lock screen of your lost phone and button to call this number will show on the lock screen. This can help the person you stole the mobile to contact you if he is willing to give back your mobile.
