Adding own background image in Gmail account:
1. Open Gmail account by signing in with username and password.

2. Click on the gear button, to open drop down menu and click themes.

3. Click My Photos in the bottom-right of the Window. If you have uploaded photos before, you can select anyone of those photos and click select.

4. If the photo you want to apply is on your hard disk you can upload it there itself. Click on Upload a photo on the top menu bar of the windows and drag a photo or select a photo from your computer.

5. If you would like to use a photograph from the web, you can paste the direct URL to use it.

6. Once you have picked you own image, you can use settings, text background (to have light or dark), Add Vignette (slide to make corners darker) and Adjust Blur (Slide to blur background image). Finally Click on save to save the changes you have made to change your background image.
