Adding Delegate access in Gmail can grant access to your Gmail account to read, send, access contacts, and delete messages by the delegates. But removing this delegate access in Gmail can revoke access to your account from the representatives.

Delegates can access your contacts, read and delete messages sent to you, send or reply to emails that were sent to you. Moreover, a delegate cannot chat with anyone for you, cannot change your Gmail password or Gmail account settings.


Procedure to remove delegate access in Gmail:

1. On your computer, open Gmail.

Note: you can’t set up delegate from the Gmail app.

2. In the top-right corner, click settings and from the drop-down menu click settings.

3. Click the Accounts and Imports tab.

4. In the “Grant access to your account” section, click Delete next to the account you want to remove.

5. You will get a confirmation pop-up confirm deletion of granted account. Click Ok.
